Sphynx cats are divisive. While I think they’re some of the most precious little babies in the world, and I love that they always look a little grumpy, a lot of people hate them. They’re one of those breeds that if you get, you get, and if you don’t, you don’t.

Even if Sphynx cats are divisive, they’re still cats. They love to play, cuddle, and most importantly, be warm. It’s a lot easier for a furry cat to keep warm on their own, though. Sphynx cats and other hairless breeds have to get a little bit creative with it.

When one bundle of Sphynx kittens were trying to keep warm, they needed a little extra help. Not only are they hairless, but they’re so little! So, to help these sweet babies stay comfortable, their caretaker had a brilliant idea:

Geena Marie’s Sphynx kittens are so real for this. I have three dogs, and all of them have hair, but they all love my heating pad just the same. It must feel even better when you’re a hairless kitten, and especially when you have siblings to cuddle with!

This is their personal heating pad: she seems to have dealt with litters of Sphynx cats before, so she knows they love the heat. The pad gets used over and over for all of the different litters, and they couldn’t be happier. I bet the adult cats love it, too!

These kittens have all made their way to their forever homes now, which unfortunately means that their heating pad is lonely. However, I highly doubt they’ll have to go without: most people who have cats like this know they love heating pads.

There’s only one other video of these kittens on her account, but guess where they are? Of course, in their favorite place:

They’re so precious. Hopefully, they’ll have new siblings to snuggle in their forever homes!

Properly caring for Sphynx cats

Having a Sphynx cat is nothing at all like having a regular cat. While the basic cat behaviors might stay the same, that’s about where it ends: Sphynx cats need very specific care to avoid issues like rashes, infections, or other skin irritations.

If you have a Sphynx cat:

  1. Consider “external” heating sources, like sweaters or heating pads, to help them keep warm.
  2. Avoid moisturizing, as it can actually cause irritation.
  3. If you do need to moisturize them, try something gentle like coconut oil.
  4. They might get acne: resist every urge you might have to pop it!

These kittens are a little young to be worrying about all of that, though. For now, all they need is their heating pad!
