Living in any kind of body (human, pet, or otherwise) comes with a long list of annoying things to deal with. Aches, pains, illness, random muscle twitches, and everything in between are enough to say, “That’s it! No more things!”

Bickey the Tuxedo cat understands what I mean, and her biggest ick is something we all loathe: hiccups. Watch as the funny feline’s aggravation grows with every passing hiccup because it’s too relatable.

Listen, Bickey—I get it. Hiccups are one of the most annoying body things ever. They feel endlessly disruptive with no idea of when life will go back to normal.

There are horror stories of people having them for weeks, months, and even years (!), so yeah, this Tuxedo cat’s irritation over those jerky muscle spasms? Warranted!

In Bickey’s world, hiccups are an unfortunate regular occurrence. Mom calls them “Biccups,” and that’s the best thing I’ve heard all month! There’s a whole TikTok folder via @mibicket showing the Tuxedo cat battling her arch nemesis (again, hiccups), so I suggest you indulge in those for a few minutes of uninterrupted hilarity.

And, because we all agree that hiccups are the worst, it’s no surprise thousands of Bickey’s adoring fans backed her up in the comments.

“Hiccups also make me angry. Like, why is my body revolting against me?” one person wrote. “Valid reason to be mad,” another added. “It’s OK, girl, I’m angry when I get hiccups, too,” another shared.

When the Batman-looking kitty isn’t suffering from life’s cruel jokes as a punishment for existing, she’s your regular, everyday Tuxedo cat with beef against hiccups but zero thoughts in her brain at any given time.

Hiccups in cats

Like us, cats get hiccups at (seemingly) the most random times, but they’re most common after eating too fast. This is because, as PetMD describes, they’ve swallowed too much air, which triggers spasms in the diaphragm. Hairballs can also be a culprit!

And also like humans, there isn’t much we can do to make the hiccups stop, though experts suggest offering cold water, either in their bowl or from the faucet, to coax those pesky spasms to rest.

As for Bickey, I’m sure she learned nothing from scarfing down her food and will 100% do it again!
