Donkeys are the life of the party on any farm they’re part of. They’re just so funny, so silly, and so desperate for attention. They love to be a part of anything their humans have to offer them. They’re genuinely just happy to be there, even if they don’t really do a lot.
On Monday, September 8th, one adorable donkey who serves no purpose on his farm proved that to be right. He needs to be involved in everything, and he’s a little bit of a brat! He likes to join his parents on their nightly walk, or you can trust that he will be screaming:

This absolute king’s name hasn’t been shared yet on his mom’s TikTok, but we know that he’s very important to this herd. She pokes fun at him (because it’s hilarious, let’s be real), but she swears that he loves and will protect both his horses and his humans.
He just really loves feeling included. Mostly, he loves the walks because he stops. eats some grass, and then catch back up. He also prefers to be in the middle of the pack and is not immune to kicking his loved ones… Or screaming if he doesn’t get his way.

Donkeys need friends
When people are considering starting a hobby farm, there are a few main animals they typically look to: chickens, goats, and donkeys. They’re smaller than your average horse, so people often think they’ll be less work.
It’s not true. Donkeys are some of the highest-maintenance animals around! They need friends, like other donkeys, horses, or cows, to keep them happy. They also need regular human interaction. They’re loud and can even be aggressive.
However, if you’re ready to take one of these animals in, you should do it. Even though they’re a lot, they’re precious, too. Yours might even be a total diva, like this guy!
