When it comes to anything involving food — whether we’re talking about treats or meals — most pets really aren’t messing around. They know their daily routine better than we do sometimes; if their food hasn’t appeared in their bowl at exactly the right time, we are definitely going to hear about it!
But the level of anger felt by the orange cat in the TikTok video below? That’s on a completely different level, and I have a feeling you’ll agree when you see the expression on his face. It’s no wonder people are cracking up at (and maybe even feeling a little intimidated by) this cat.

On Wednesday, August 27, cat mom Kendra Krohn shared this video of her orange cat, Beans, having the best reaction to having to wait 45 more minutes to eat dinner. I don’t know if he’s super hangry or just over it, but this is not a cat I would mess with!
“For 0 cents a day, you can be on the receiving end of this death stare,” Kendra wrote in her caption.
Totally worth it — just look at how cute he is! Besides, being hangry is the most relatable feeling in the world.
Commenters seem to feel the same way I do, with one person writing, “This cat will be my meme for a lot of scenarios forevermore.”
Why do some cats look grumpy?
Beans is giving all of the Grumpy Cat vibes, and looking at the other videos his mom has shared on TikTok, this is basically just how his face is, regardless of his mood. See this video:

Some cats simply look grumpy all the time thanks to their facial structure. As Catster points out, cats with this type of face are considered to be “brachycephalic,” which is more common in certain breeds like Persian cats and Burmese cats.
These cats have a flatter facial structure and that’s perfectly fine — obviously, even though they look grumpy, they are still absolutely adorable.
But if you have a brachycephalic cat of your own, you’ll want to make sure that you look out for Brachycephalic Airway Syndrome, which can make it harder for them to breathe with a flatter facial structure. If you notice your cat is often experiencing symptoms like noisy breathing, snoring, or coughing, it’s not a bad idea to get it checked out by a vet.
Otherwise, just get used to the death stare. It’s not going anywhere!
