Cats are well known for bringing their human gifts. Unfortunately, this often means a tiny creature is involved—or at least part of one. And as much as we appreciate the sentiment, it isn’t something we want to receive.
This kitty, however, has a more refined idea of what a mother’s gift should be. These unique presents are not only sweet but also quite beautiful.

Perhaps Fiddy (@fiddy_flowercat) was a florist in a past life. Not only does this sweet creature bring her mom the most beautiful of camellia blooms, but she also carefully selects each one to find the best of the bunch. What a good girl! This gift is much more delightful than a passed-on mouse or bird. But as lovely a gift as these are to receive, Fiddy’s mom urges caution because many blooms can be highly toxic for cats. Fortunately, these bright pink camellia flowers are perfectly safe for her to handle, and it appears she’s been amassing quite a collection this spring.

Flowers toxic to cats
Lilies. All forms of lilies are toxic and potentially fatal for cats. This is because they contain a substance that, when ingested by cats, can cause severe kidney damage. Even a sip of water that they’re in can be deadly. Experts strongly advise keeping them out of your garden and home to ensure your feline’s safety. Daffodils, tulips, peonies, carnations, gladiolus, ranunculus, iris, azaleas, hydrangeas, dahlias, chrysanthemums, and hyacinths are also toxic. And Birds of Paradise and Lily of the Valley are, too. Thankfully, you can safely make a beautiful bouquet with many colorful buds. These include asters, celosia, orchids, roses, sunflowers, and zinnia. Always check with the ASPCA guide for a complete list of toxic and non-toxic plants before bringing a new flower into your home or garden if you have cats.
This loving gesture touched pet parents. One member joked, “Mine brings me my kitchen sponge or the paper towel off the holster.. she’s orange.” That’s not too bad. Another viewer shared, “Mine dragged a bag of bread into my bed with a bite out of each piece.” Perhaps they were checking each piece for quality. Another parent revealed, “When I had an accident and could not walk, my cat would bring me the finest mice to my bed, so I had something to eat.” That’s very sweet but not ideal if you can’t move from bed.
Although most women like having a partner bring flowers, the next best thing might be a cat—especially if they don’t need to be asked to do it.
