The Friends of the Coronado Public Library will hold its 51st annual Spring Book Sale in conjunction with the 101st annual Coronado Flower Show.
Like last year, this year’s book sale will be held for one day only, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m, on April 15, according to organizers.
The book sale will be held on the grounds adjacent to the Library’s Winn Room, known as “Library Park.”
The collection of items for sale include books of all types and for all ages such as audiobooks, DVDs and CDs, as well as various gift items and collectibles.
Most items are $1 to $8.
All proceeds support Coronado Public Library programs and events.
By buying books at the book sale, at the Second Hand Prose bookshop at the library, or the Library Lobby Friends of the Library Honor Shop, patrons help support the library.
The night before the book sale, the Coronado community is invited to the Friends of the Coronado Public Library’s Annual Membership Meeting, which is from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, April 14 in the Library’s Winn Room.
Registration is requested.
To register, please visit https://www.coronadofol.org/events and scroll down until you see the Register button under Annual Membership Meeting.
The program includes an early bird book sale from 5 to 6 p.m. and then the meeting.
The Friends of the Library also will recognize winners of the Super Book contest, which was held at Coronado’s Silver Strand Elementary School. Students from all grade levels will present their projects.
Friends of the Library members who attend will have the opportunity to vote on amendments to the FOL By-Laws and on candidate for the FOL Board.

Those who are not yet members or are unsure of their membership status are particularly encouraged to attend the meeting, join the Friends or renew their memberships, according to organizers.
